Grandmother's Trophy 2024
In all we had 24 grandmothers competing for the Grandmother's Trophy, many of whom have four or more grandchildren. There was no competition for the person with the most grandchildren but the members with 18 and 19 grandchildren would have won any such competition. Congratulations to all grandmothers, you are very special people.

Olympic Themed Charity Day
2024

The proceeds from this year's Charity Day went to McAuley. We managed to raise over $850.
McAuley supports women and their children who want to be safe from family violence. Support includes case management and accommodation, including specialist support for infants and children.
McAuley provides specialist support for women who have been homeless.
They support women to rebuild their family and community connections, develop their independent living skills, and begin their journey towards independence.
For more information see their website.
The fun theme for the day was the Olympic Games – with teams of four representing seven countries – Greece, Italy, Ireland, Switzerland, France, Germany and Australia. All players joined in the spirit of the day dressing up in team colours to play a fun round of golf. Our Captain Louise has been very creative in devising the Olympic themes for each hole.

Guest Day 2024
What fun! The fun on the golf course was generated by the 4BBB competition with invited guests. Each player was given a Bonus Bag consisting of 2 pieces of string of different lengths, entitlement to use 2 mulligans and a Pro Drive on the 14th hole and some sweet rewards at the same time.
There was also much “fun” to be had inside the clubhouse – where Joan Skene and her assistants, Jan Skinner and Merilyn Knapp were setting up the stall, laden with a wide variety of goods for sale and 6 wonderful hampers to be raffled. A total of $1,385 was raised.
We were joined by ILGC Past president, Life members and guests from other clubs.

Celebrating Aging with Style
In February a journalist from the local newspaper came to interview our Octogenarians. Local council member Cr. Alida McKern also came. We look forward to them starring in the local paper soon. They demonstrated that they still have lots of energy and attitude both on and off the golf course.
